Mid-South Conference Championships set for Bowling Green, KY
Bowling Green, KY—The Mid-South Conference is the first of four NAIA conference championship titles on the line this season.
There are four women’s wrestling programs in the MSC: Campbellsville (KY), Cumberlands (KY), Life (GA) and Brewton-Parker (GA).
After racking up 230 points at the 2020 WCWA National Championships—claiming 3 individual titles and 10 other All-Americans—the NAIA’s #1 ranked Campbellsville is a favorite to win the team title. The Tigers won the MSC championships during the 2018-19 season.
Life, ranked #3 in the NAIA, was second at the WCWA’s this year. 123-pound Julia Vidallon claimed an individual WCWA title with 5 teammates lined up beside her as All-Americans. The Running Eagles are the returning MSC team champs.
NAIA #7 ranked Cumberlands was not a WCWA member this season, but has competed against Life and neighboring Campbellsville on multiple occasions. Most recently, the Patriots dropped a 28-17 dual vs the Tigers and a close 23-22 loss to the Running Eagles in late January. Bridgette Duty is the top ranked Patriot in the NAIA, holding the #2 spot at 136 pounds.
The top two wrestlers at each weight will earn All-Conference honors. Wrestling will start at 12 noon, and can be streamed live on Track Wrestling.

Athletes with sophomore academic status and a 3.25+ GPA earn MSC Academic All MSC honors. Cumberlands has the most earners with 8, Campbellsville has 7 and Life has 4.
